The Formula Renault 3.5 World Series debut single-seat in 2012

Last Friday, on the occasion of the appointment that the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series played in the Monte Carlo Street Circuit, the Organization unveiled the new car that will use the Championship starting in 2012. It will not be a completely new car, but that it will be an evolution of the current, developed by Dallara, who but.
The reason for keeping the chassis and just "tweak it" is purely economic, and thus contain costs. Yet for the purpose of pilotage shall be a "new" car that aerodynamics has changed completely allowing 34% more support. But beyond the changes, the most characteristic point will be the implementation of a DRS to act on the Gurney flap. The use of this system will allow pilots to win 20 km/h on the straights.

As regards the motorisation, it shall be borne by zytek motorsport, signing with which Nissan (Renault owned) is lately working on his project of resistance in LMP2. The new V8 engine of 3.4 liters will deliver 530 HP (50 HP more than the current). With regard to tyres, changes again, because that Michelin has developed a new compound. The pack of improvements will allow pilots to be two seconds faster per lap.
Finally, another of the great innovations of this car is that it will be the first to not use drums through a system developed in collaboration with XAP Electronique and that it will have an anti-calado system to overcome the absence of starter motor. A step forward in competition that we will probably see soon in more vehicles of this type.

GP2 Series Monaco: perfect race and victory for Davide Valsecchi

Davide Valsecchi has made a perfect career which has earned a victory in the first race of the GP2 Series at Monaco. It is clear that the events on this track are different, and sometimes have results like this. Valsecchi perhaps not clear was the candidate to fight for the title, but after this race, his "actions" go up in price.
But let's go to the race itself. Valsecchi was dating from the second position, behind Sam Bird. The British had stalled his car, and that has prevented him from fighting for the front positions. Valsecchi was leading a group of cars attached to its tail, which suggested that his career was in jeopardy, threatened by rivals.
Nothing further from the truth. From lap six, the pilot of the Team Air Asia has increased his pace and it has managed to consistently maintain a second and a half ahead of Alvaro Parente, who has finished second. The performance of the pilot of Racing Engineering, replacing Christian Vietoris since the appointment of Spain, is extraordinary.
Good GP2 fans will remember that last year entered the Coloni in Belgium team, replacing Alberto Valerio, and he achieved two podiums in its first weekend of the GP2 for the year. This time has cost him a week-end relatively fair in Spain to adapt to the new car, but is already on the podium again.
Worst luck has had his teammate, Dani Clos. It already came from a delayed position, after problems with the classification, and after a career of comeback, a flat tire has ended his career in the curve of the Grand Hotel, formerly known as Loews, and more previously "Ecoeficientes de la gare", as was the railway station.
In third position is over Luca Filippi, in a demonstration of intelligence or proper use of the strategy, has risen from 11th to the third step of the podium, just to stop pit later than others. But without a doubt, one of the protagonists of the day has been Romain Grosjean, who came from the last position of the grid are output.
The pilot of DAMS has used the same tactic that Filippi, in addition to daring overtaking House brand, clear. Completing the points, we have had to Stefano Coletti, Josef Kral, Max Chilton and Charles Pic. Sam Bird, for its part, has been forced to leave after a touch with Marcus Ericsson, which has ended with both drivers out of the race.
In fact, neither of them has abandoned at the time. Bird has done so after little by the damage received, while in the case of Ericsson has been more spectacular. The Swede has lost the rear wing in the tunnel, causing an accident without consequences, although it has led to the exit of the safety car.
In addition, Jules Bianchi and Giedo van der Garde returned to collide, this time in the chicane after the tunnel of the Monaco circuit. It seems that these two have a special "appreciation". Tomorrow, Pic will come out from the pole, with Chilton in the second position, so the French do well tomorrow. He has been lucky, because Oliver Turvey, who was seventh, was penalized for failing to comply with a drive through.

GP3 Series Spain 2011: Mitch Evans and Tamas Pal Kiss gain, the Championship is pressed

This past weekend, at the Circuit de Catalunya, has held the second meeting of the GP3 Series, with WINS by Mitch Evans and Tamas Pal Kiss, while Nigel Melker is still leading the Championship. However, the Championship was tight, with many drivers separated by a few points.
In the first race, Mitch Evans was lucky to keep the lead after a not especially good output, and from then on, the race did not have color. Evans held the lead until the chequered flag. James draught and Aaro Vainio completed the podium in a particularly empty race action on the track.
The second race saw also the victory of the pilot coming out from the pole. Kiss did not gave any option to rivals, leading throughout the race. Nigel Melker was placed in second position after the start, ahead of Dean Smith, who came from the front row next to Tamas Pal Kiss. However, the race did not nor too much action.
Far more chaotic test he lived at the start of the second race, with more than a single-seater permeating the engine, bypassing the output, or even both. But if in a Championship, these moments are which should bring the excitement, that means that there is something that does not work properly.
After Toyota, the GP3 took a break until the European Grand Prix, which will also be on Spanish soil. Therefore, the next meeting of the Championship will be that of the Valencia Street Circuit, where hope that racing will give us a little more than emotion. To the GP3 not him would go bad.

GP2 Series Spain: Fabio Leimer WINS and Dani Clos achieved the second position

In the race sprint of the GP2 in Spain, the win today was for Fabio Leimer, ahead of Dani Clos and Marcus Ericsson, in an interesting career, but with less overtaking of what we are accustomed in GP2. Leimer has led with an iron hand during all the race, and at no time has been no one who could challenge the victory.
After the race yesterday, and penalties relevant, in the end Dani Clos came out from the third position. The Catalan pilot therefore had serious options of exit for the victory, although taking ahead to pilots as Jules Bianchi and Fabio Leimer, a victory would be, at least, very fought.
In the output, and as already sudecio yesterday, there was an accident that caused the exit of the safety car. Giedo van der Garde had a spectacular start, and arriving at end of line braking, the Barwa Addax driver rolled parallel to Jules Bianchi. It was thus that the two cars made contact, and the remains of the accident had to be cleaned.
This left Dani Clos in second position, and with a rival less for the victory. The safety car has been on track for 4 laps, and upon the resumption of the race, Dani was launched in pursuit of Fabio Leimer, while Charles Pic enfilaba pit lane, with problems in his single-seater. If yesterday was unbeatable for Barwa Addax, today has basically been the opposite.
Leimer had its day, and little by little it has been escaping Dani, who lost the camber of the Swiss, tenth after tenth. Meanwhile, both Marcus Ericsson and Sam Bird came strongly from the rear, ready to fight as necessary to get that second position, or even a victory.
But Dani Clos was not prepared to drop a podium at home, and soon has distanced itself from his pursuers, doing everything possible to challenge the victory to a particularly successful Leimer. Rapax pilot stood out during the offseason, but so far not had any notable career. It is clear that today I wanted to change that.
Halfway through the race, Esteban Gutierrez and Michael Herck, returned to find it (or to "encontronarse", as you look), to despair of the Romanian. Yellow flags in the third sector, and the race continues. Meanwhile, Leimer is pulling force, and Dani Clos begins to lose seconds, while it had been able to stand close during the first half of the race.
A second position is an excellent result, but a victory would be even better. In the end, it was not possible, and Leimer completed a flawless race, with Clos finishing ten seconds, and Marcus Ericsson in third position. At least, the Catalan pilot can have a positive balance of the weekend, has managed to solve the problems of Turkey, who caused him so excessive wear of tyres.
The new leader of the Championship after the Spanish round is Giedo van der Garde, with 21 points, tied with Sam Bird. Behind the leading duo of GP2 we have Charles Pic with 15 points and Romain Grosjean with 13. Dani Clos, for its part, is sixth with nine points. Although it is far from the head of the Championship, even retrieve everything, provided it can improve and fight for the victory in the following races.

GP2 Series Spain: victory for Charles Pic and doublet of Barwa Addax

Charles Pic victory with second position of Giedo van der Garde, completing the double of the Barwa Addax, in the first race of the GP2 in Spain. Behind the two cars of the Spanish team, complete the podium Sam Bird, who is defending his options to fight for the title.
The first news we had her yesterday, with the penalty of Jules Bianchi for not respecting the yellow during the qualifying session flags. That made him lose the pole position, for the benefit of Giedo van der Garde, Barwa Addax. Dani Clos, for its part, passed out from the sixth position.
The race itself has begun quite moved way, with a touch in the output that has termiado with Luca Filippi out of the race. The safety car made an appearance and has been a few laps, and when he retired, Dani Clos, who had made a very good start, was not too clever.
Upon the resumption of the race, the Group's leaders broke in two, with Dani Clos to four seconds of the fourth place. Catalan was seen do sign with his hand just before the resumption of the race, as if I would like to bring forward to Marcus Ericsson, with whom had contested the position with the safety car on track.
In the end, Clos have been brought forward to the next round. In the Group's head, things were clear; Giedo van der Garde strong tightening to try to escape, followed by Sam Bird, Charles Pic and Romain Grosjean. Dani Clos, for its part, after losing the fifth seat for Marcus Ericsson, yet lost more positions.
Arriving at stops in boxes, the order had been for quite a few laps, but with Van der Garde escaped, and the pursuer group in a handkerchief. After the visits relevant to the pits to change tyres, Charles Pic was who came out better stopped, leading the race ahead of his teammate, Giedo van der Garde, and Sam Bird.
With average career to the end, Dani Clos was in seventh position, away from the front group, but a touch between Esteban Gutierrez and Michael Herck caused the second exit of the safety car. This singificaba that distances were to be reduced, and one that had tires in a better State could gain.
Pic it had very clear, if you're leading, has to press, and that is what he has done during the final laps, especially knowing, by the two outputs of the safety car, is they would not be able to complete all the laps of the racethat it would end up reaching the watch 60 minutes, for the first time this season.
In the end, the race ends by time, with victory of a Charles Pic inspired and skilled in strategic management. Stop before their rivals has given the victory, ahead of Giedo van der Garde, complete a home of perfect weekend for the Barwa Addax team, especially at home. The podium has completed what Sam Bird.
As for Dani Clos, get the seventh place, so that tomorrow will come from the second position. A shame, because with his pace could have struggled to be later, if not for the "mistake" during the first start of the safety car. We are sure that tomorrow you can fight for a good result.

The IndyCar Series presents its cars by 2012 [image gallery]

As well we know, the big difference between an oval layout and another rutero / urban, makes in the IndyCar Series, will have to use two types of totally different aerodynamic configurations. This is not new, but what is new is that the coming Championship year will have new chassis Dallara and of course also have their versions for oval layout and rutero, which have been presented on the day of today.
As far as we can see, the new chassis Dallara, in its two versions are very interesting points although if I had to stay with one of them without doubt you do with the version oval track. The wheels almost completely carenadas rear, its lateral pontoons that stands out the soil with a sort of fins of sharks and the pointed front with a flat minimum, give this configuration a very peculiar style.
And if peculiar is the aerodynamic package for oval, for circuits ruteros reminds us some points to formula one. The front wing with its high levels, the endplate, the drifts in the hulks laterales…eso Yes, bridging the gap and taking into account that the IndyCar does not want to appear to the top flight.
Remember that one of the main developments with the arrival of the new chassis is that the aerodynamic packages could be developed by other manufacturers or equipment. This possibility is has been postponed to 2013, in order to control costs, and during the next season, teams will only use the two packages delivered by Dallara.

Maserati and Mercedes dominate Superstar series

This weekend was held at the Circuit of the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo in Valencia the second meeting of the calendars in the superstars Series, a championship in which the presence of saloons of great benefits, closer to the product of that street in the DTM, is your main attraction.
During all the week-end, Andrea bertolini (three-time champion of the FIA GT and FIA GT1) with the maserati quattroporte the Swiss Team and Luigi Ferrara, with the Mercedes c63 amg of CAAL Racing, were pilots to beat during the entire weekend and it was they who were distributedpole (Bertolini), victories and fastest laps (Bertolini in race and Ferrara in the second).
For its part Campos Racing lived a bittersweet weekend. The team arrived at the circuit House with much of the hopes placed in the knowledge of the circuit by its pilots, Sergio Hernandez and Isaac Tutumlu, but could not have been. Hernandez got the first points of the teams in the superstars Series in the first race (eighth position for the pilot of Javea) but incidents and mechanical problems prevented them from increasing the spoils.
Next CITES Superstars series in the Algarve circuit in Portimao on 22 May. Let us hope that with better luck for our.

Nineteens Series, NASCAR's European version

We are sure that the most fans remember the Speedcar Series. A kind of NASCAR which served as a support race for the Grand Prix of formula one in the middle with drivers in formula one as the main claim. The success of the contest was not excessive and after two seasons, the iron curtain fell.
The relief of the NASCAR outside USA, taken in Europe, and more specifically in France, the Nineteens Series in 2008. A Championship which has now crossed the Pyrenees with the presence of ander vilarino. The pilot of San Sebastian dismissed along with its sponsors presence in some evidence of the WTCC to participate in the Nineteens Series in full. A tournament which offers to champion a race of the NASCAR as a prize.

With regard to vehicles, these are developed by team fj. Under a tubular chassis with aspect of American model (teams can choose between Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion) is a V8 engine and 5.735 cc Chevrolet origin with 450 HP for a total weight of 1150 kg.
The Championship has six eventsin Nogaro, Motorland Aragon, Zandvoort, Magny-Cours, Brands Hatch and Le Mans and in addition there are two extra meetings "all star" played at Spa-Francorchamps and Daytona. There are four different categories: ELITE, mainly for professional drivers; OPENfor amateur pilots; junior trophy, less than 25 years and legend trophy, more than 50 years.

The scoring system is the same as the NASCAR has implemented in 2011, with 43 points for the WINS with a bonus of 3 points for victory, one point for leading at least one round and another point for being the most laps led. Each meeting consists of two races, a short called Sprint and 25 minutes of duration and a resistance of 45 minutes.

GP3 Series Turkey 2011: victories by Nigel Melker and Alexander Sims

The weekend passed, accompanying the formula on the occasion of his first European race, and making opening race next to GP2, has been disputed the first race of the GP3 Series 2011 in Turkey, with victories of Nigel Melker and Alexander Simswith the pilot of CSR Mucke to lead the Championship, ahead of Andrea Caldarelli.
Melker was leader in the first race already in the first round, after a good start, ahead to Tom Dillmann, and thanks to an overtaking by the outside curve 12 to Andrea Caldarelli. From there, he devoted himself to administer its distance, especially after the departure of the safety car, but the Italian could not with Melker, who took the first victory of the year.
After Melker and Caldarelli, Dillman completed the podium. In the second race, with the reverse grid, Alexander Sims it was clear, and nothing more out, he escaped, without giving options to their rivals. Thanks to its speed, was a great victory, ahead of Michael Christensen, CSR Mucke driver. Precisely his teammate was the third step of the podium.
It must be said that, coming eighth in the GP3, finishing a career third has an important merit, since that cars tend to much match the performance of the pilots. Andrea Caldarelli was fifth, result that gives its provisional second position in the classification of drivers, with 10 points, four behind Melker.
The next race will be held in two weeks, at the Circuit de Catalunya, on the occasion of the Grand Prize of Spain of formula 1, following the European season in the category. We are sure that this weekend it reckoning more thrills. For now, Turkey has helped US to see that the GP3 will have talent also in 2011.

GP2 Series Turkey: victory of Stefano Coletti in a rugged race

Stefano Coletti victory in a second career quite rugged. The Monegasque driver has made a good start and has closely followed to Dani Clos for much of the race. Six laps has cost him the pilot of Trident overtake Dani Clos, and it has done after an interesting "tuya-mia" with the Catalan.
Since that time, Coletti has taken advantage of the advantage that it had to continue towards victory. Dani Clos, for its part, has been losing time gradually, first advanced by Giedo van der Garde and later by Charles Pic. Arriving at the equator of the race, it was already fifth, by Sam Bird, which came with a great pace.
For what have commented since Racing Engineering, already knew that it would be difficult for Clos to conserve their tyres throughout the race. It seems, therefore, that Dani could have been the victim of the new tyres, taking an approach of development of the overly aggressive car. Looking at Montmelo, that will change, safe.
The fact is that, in two weeks, you will be able to recover in the home race for Dani, on the Circuit de Catalunya. Returning to the race, Bird remained with its strong rhythm, approaching Charles Pic, threatening to steal the third position. But they still had to pass things, before arriving at the end of the race.
Five laps from the end of the sprint race, Julian Leal and Davide Rigon have played in the area of the goal line, causing a very spectacular crash. With so few laps to the end, and with the medical car on the track, everything seemed to indicate that the race would end as it was. After all, Davide Rigon has been hurt in the leg and was receiving medical care.
But in the end, the Turkish team has been much faster than expected, and is has been able to compete in the final lap, a last lap where he could spend everything. In fact, Marcus Ericsson has performed with her teammate, Sam Bird, and lost positions. Bird was away from the podium that had been searching for throughout the career.
But the latest round of English has been exceptional, and it has managed to be brought forward to Charles Pic, and finished in third position. You have had a turn, would have been able with Van der Garde. Dani Clos, for its part, after a stop in boxes, has recovered five positions on the last lap, demonstrating that it can go faster when the tires are well.
In as far as the other members of the podium yesterday, Romain Grosjean and Jules Bianchi have played in the first bars of the runway, fact which has left them without options in what was left of race. Bianchi has been at the gates of the points, with the sixth position, while Grosjean has been tenth but you will get one point for having the fastest lap.
The next meeting of the Championship will be in two weeksin the first of our two runs of House, at the Circuit de Catalunya. Romain Grosjean and Sam Bird come tied to points with 13, just three ahead of Giedo van der Garde and Stefano Coletti. Since then, this is tight, and if Montmelo Racing is as exciting as the of this weekend, signed now!
Unfortunately, shortly after the race, receive information from that Davide Rigon suffers fracture tibia and fibula, and, therefore, to be losing a good part of the season. Many spirits to Davide.
1 - Romain Grosjean - 13pts
2 Sam Bird - 13pts
3 - Stefano Coletti - 10pts
4 - Giedo van der Garde - 10pts
5 Jules Bianchi - 6pts
9 - dani Clos - 1pt

Roberto Merhi won the third race of the F3 Euro Series Hockenheim

Yesterday, with his victory in the third and last race of the F3 Euro Series Hockenheim, Robert Merhi completed a sensational weekend. Of the three tests, he won two and signed a fourth position in another due to the sanctions imposed by the Commissioners for making an advancement beyond the limits of the track.
Dani Juncadella did not have a bad record in the German layout. He achieved the victory in the second test and had a fourth and a sixth in the other two races. These results allow two Spanish pilots to take the lead their rivals in the classification of the world.
The race virtually went smoothly for Merhi. Taking advantage of the poor start of Marco Wittmann, he took the lead in the first moments and did not give option to the rest. Dani Juncadella finished fourth after having to go to the grass while trying to overtake Wittman in the snatch and lose a couple of positions as a result.
So, Roberto Merhi leads the classification of the world with 95 points, while that Dani Juncadella going to lag behind with 76 points. Third is Marco Wittmann with 75. Within two weeks, we will attend the third test of the world of the F3 Euro Series, to be held in the circuit of Zandvoort in the Netherlands.

Ocean Racing Technology tab Johnny Cecotto Jr and Kevin Mirocha for the GP2 Series

Ocean Racing Technology has signed to Johnny Cecotto Jr and Kevin Mirocha for the GP2 Series. The team had to Oliver Turvey and Andrea Caldarelli during the GP2 Asia Series, but as it was already suspected, the team has completely changed their line-up.
Cecotto Jr, whose best result in the GP2 is a fourth position in Monaco last season, and that it has competed with Super Nova and Trident, is delighted with this new journey and at the age of 21 is optimistic before the 2011 season.
Kevin Mirocha is perhaps more unknown. He competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 last year, and he will make his debut in the GP2 in Turkey. The youngest pilot of whole grilled, and hopes will be to learn a lot with Ocean, which is today its main objective.
With these signings, the GP2 grid is almost closed, with only a site available in the Super Nova team, to day of today, and the doubt about who will run with the second car of Carlin, seen the economic problems of Mikhail Aleshin.

Sergio Hernández and Issac Tutumlu will be Racing fields in the Superstars Series pilots

A couple of weeks ago confirmed that Campos Racing was going to be present in the Superstars Series this season with two bmw m3. The information placed in the orbit of the Valencia team to three pilots: the two ex-WTCC, Sergio Hernandez and Felix Porteiro and the surprise of Sete Gibernau.
Finally, the pilots elected for Campos Racing to compete in the Superstars Series have been Sergio Hernandez and Isaac Tutumlu. In the case of Hernandez, any good amateur cars will recognize the name of the alicantinian as BMW in the WTCC official pilot and as a champion of the independent trophy, with Proteam in 2008.
The name of Isaac Tutumlu will sound more to those fans to the WP. Typical of the Spain Championship of GT and the International GT Open, the hispano-turco has also participated in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, support of the world of formula 1 category. In short, a pilot very experienced with high-performance vehicles.
For Sete Gibernau, Catalan has declined for the moment the offer but it is not ruled out that in the future will become part of the project. In the event of a Yes of F1, Campos Racing would put on track a third BMW M3.
By the way, Superstars Series can be seen live (hopefully) in brand TV. This weekend, Monza will host the first meeting of the Championship. The second will be in the Circuit of the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo of Cheste coming 7 and 8 May.

GP2 Asia Series 2011 Imola: victory for Romain Grosjean and Dani Clos career

Romain Grosjean has won the first race of Imola, second and last quotes of the GP2 Asia Series 2011, and gives an important step towards the achievement of which would be his second title of the winter category. Dani Clos, for its part, has made a great comeback, following his departure from the 20th position.
Grosjean, who came from the pole, has dominated the long race with iron fist, holding the lead from the green light until the chequered flag. Although Van der Garde was difficult things during the start of race, in the end separated them more than fourteen seconds, which is a world.
Racing as well, the pilot of DAMS to make it very clear that the talent it has, and that if in 2009 things did you well in formula one, this was due to the circumstances at the time. After Van der Garde, Grosjean rival for the title, Jules Bianchi, closed the podium.
Behind them, Michael Herck, which could even keep pace with pilot in front, ended up twenty seconds ahead of Stefano Coletti. Since then, a whole world. The sixth place went to Davide Valsecchi, while points closed them Fabio Leimer and Dani Clos.
The Catalan pilot went from 20th position, and he has made a very solid career was worth one point and the pole position for tomorrow. The career of Clos was aided, in part, by the touch between Sam Bird and Marcus Ericsson, as well as Esteban Gutierrez track output or problems in boxes of Josef Kral and Joylon Palmer.
In the end, after the race and the relevant technical verifications, Davide Valsecchi, who had been sixth, has been excluded for failing to meet your car rental with the regulatory minimum weight. This pushed up a position to, inter alia, Dani Clos and Fairuz Fauzy, due out tomorrow from the pole position.
Tomorrow is decided, therefore, the title, which is already practically in the hands of Grosjean, five points ahead of Bianchi. Let us remember that the winner is six, and the fastest lap another point. Bianchi should therefore win the race and wait that Grosjean was sixth, or win, make the fastest lap and wait that Grosjean did not raise the fifth position.
Certainly they are possible outcomes, but that give a good advantage to Romain, who will serve as a career with relatively few risks, unlike Bianchi, who only serve to win the race. After Imola, there will be a standstill until the Grand Prize of Spain of formula one, which will see the beginning of the "main" GP2.

GP2 Asia Series 2011 Imola: Romain Grosjean takes pole

Romain Grosjean has taken the pole for the weekend of Imola in the GP2 Asia Series 2011. Before the weekend that will close the event, the French driver of DAMS has finished ahead of Sam Bird, which was already the fastest in free practice.
In the second row are to Michael Herck, who have mentioned more than once is a living example of a driver considered to be slow and no future that slowly makes its way in the category, without being in the team that his father built for him. After the pilot of Coloni, Jules Bianchi with ART.
Bad luck in general for components Spanish GP2, with Giedo van der Garde, Barwa Addax, as the best pilot of a Spanish team. The others are between the 20th and 25th position. Bad result for Racing Engineering, therefore, that came with many illusions.
But despite these illusions, which also had Dani Clos, Catalan has not been passed in the 20th position. A pity, since that complicates it the careers of tomorrow and last. What it will be interesting will be the fight for the title between Grosjean and Bianchi, which are separated by colons.

GP2 Asia Series change Bahrain by the circuit of Imola

After the incidents in the formula not only Bahrain it has been affected by the cancellations. As I already said my fellow GV27, the last two races of the Championship of the GP2 Asia were also suspended. This a category with very few runs in its schedule obviously affected much more than in the great circus, with 20 test scheduled for this year.
Therefore the Championship organizers have decided to make an additional race. That if, against the policy of the Championship, such a test will take place on European soil, in particular in the circuit of Imola. The race will replace the two that were to be played in Bahrain and will drop the curtain of a rather movidito season.
We needed a week to put everything in order and have the certainty that everything was properly organised, and that we could do something good. That is why we chose Imola and are going to run it an event, which will be the last of the GP2 Asia Series and which will replace the two cancelled events of Bahrain.

GP2 Asia Series are searching for a substitute race for the Bahrain event

Of the cancellation of the event in Bahrain, the GP2 Asia Series now seek a circuit where a surrogate career can be. The objective is clearly that the Championship will not be decided just a meeting, the disputed in Abu Dhabi.
For the moment he spoke of the circuit of Losail as a possibility. Losail already played a round of the GP2 Asia Championship in 2009, and I could repeat in 2011, following the logic wont run in Asia (hence comes the name of the tournament, no?). Though, in spite of, precisely, the name of the Championship, the Organization could be considering running, without that it set a precedent, a round in Europe. Maybe logic dictaria race in Istanbul Park in may, as a preamble to the European season in GP2.
This would allow the GP2 keep the Asian component of the winter category (though it may no longer too winter) and at the same time, it would be weekend sharing formula, which is usual and nothing out of place. Time will tell us the answer, as always.

The Organization of the GP2 Asia Series confirms cancellation of events in Bahrain

Seems to lie to only do one week since the suspended the second meeting of the calendar of the GP2 Asia Series, yesterday confirmed the cancellation of two events planned in Bahrain (from the weekend past and which had taken place in two weeks).

Time, therefore the Championship is temporarily finished, post that there are no more planned career and is not any other event to go. After of the quote from Bahrain, scheduled for the weekend, the end of the Championship took place the first formula one race weekend. To be able to vote this post you must login or register here.

Remember that this year has debuted new Dallara GP2/11, which reduced the GP2 Asia Series halfway careers for lack of time to provide all computers with the new single-seater. In the end, a Championship consisted of six meetings and became three, could end after just one.

Bruno Michel, head of the GP2, expressed his sadness at not compete in Bahrain, where have competed since 2005, and made it very clear their desire to return as soon as possible. However, no one has done a single comment on possible careers for replacement.

That comes a new story on the Italian Championship superstars Series makes me enjoy it more and more. The presence of such exotic models in competition as the Mercedes c63 amg, Audi RS4, Porsche Panamera S, Cadillac CTS-V, Jaguar XF, Maserati Quattroporte, BMW M3 (among others) is to attract much of my attention.

And how variety is taste and as stars pleyade was it missing a 2011 Superstars Series will feature with Lexus IS-F. The last large sedan high-end missing to the list. Four will be the Japanese model units, two in the hands of MN lexus racing and two more to maurer motorsport, a team that has experience in the Championship in the past that participated with the Chevrolet Lumina. And best of all is that in 2011, Spanish fans who want to know the superstars Series closely may do so that you will visit the Circuit of the Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo in early May.
