Grand Prix of Great Britain F1 2011: Mark Webber gets pole position
Nine of nine, the Red Bull pole this year. Tenth continuously, if we take into account the Abu Dhabi 2010, and the third consecutive at Silverstone. Mark Webber takes pole position in a final session marked by a few drops of water that have "killed" a possible final emocioante with three drivers on the grid with options primers.
Sebastian Vettel will accompany the other Red Bull in the first row of the grid, while the second row will be all red with Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. Come in pairs, and the third row will have the colors of the "Union Jack", with Jenson Button and Paul di Resta. The seventh position is for a particularly inspired Pastor Maldonado, who will be accompanied by Kamui Kobayashi.
The dedepcion of the day is perhaps the tenth place of Lewis Hamilton, that despite everything, will be spared tyres that he very well could go tomorrow. He will be accompanied in the fifth row of the grid by Nico Rosberg, the first of the two Mercedes in a not particularly good session for the silver arrows. Schumacher said, a good result could be achieved only with rain on Sunday.
On the topic of the weekend, in principle it seems that all of the teams has imposed limit of 10% of expulsion of gases, and a meeting will take place the next week to decide as the case in the following races is. Christian Horner said, outside of cameras and microphones, who believes that his team competes in less favourable conditions, this weekend.
Grand Prix of Europe F1 2011: Fernando Alonso Gets a fantastic second position
Fernando Alonso has today achieved a fantastic second positionfor the first time up to the podium in Valencia Street Circuit. Having emerged from the fourth position, and a departure good but especially a first very avispada curve, Fernando has laid the foundations for what has been a very good race with a very positive outcome.
After the exit, the driver of Ferrari in third position, and has started a fight with Mark Webber. This fight has lasted throughout the race, and the two pilots have been alternating positions at times, always with pit stops. Ferdinand stood in second position, and some already dreamed of a victory.
The truth is that during part of the race, the victory seemed possiblethat Sebastian Vettel was less than four seconds of the Asturian, still giving the best of himself. But something Vettel is the leader of the Championship, and is that baby Schumi, as it used to be called, is ceasing to be a baby, and knows to run the race with intelligence.
The pilot of Red Bull has tight when it seemed that Fernando was approaching, and he has shot with more confidence at the moment that Mark Webber was in second position. In the end, thanks to a stop very good pit by Ferrari, showing that they also know perform good strategies, has recovered a second position which knows very well.
In statements some, Alonso said that much this weekend has been fun, and have been a few very nice days both on and off the track. He is very happy to reach the podium in Valencia Street Circuit for the first time, and hoped to continue fighting with the Red Bull later. He has made it very clear that the goal now is finish higher up that second.
In two weeks, Great Britain prize at Silverstone. It remains to be seen if Ferrari can continue to be competitive there, and gives me that Red Bull will continue to be going just as well, with or without the new technical regulations. But the podium today does anybody. Ferrari are satisfied, and that will give you encouragement to continue working in this line.
Grand Prix of Canada F1 2011: Jaime Alguersuari fails to pass to the Q2, come from the eighteenth position
Jaime Alguersuari fails to pass to the Q2, and will be released tomorrow from the eighteenth position, after a rather disappointing qualifying session. The pilot of Barcelona has been displaced by his compatriot, Pedro de la Rosa, with the Sauber. A real shame, because that Jaime is eager to do well, but not accompanied by the car.
In addition, the rumor mill on his future next to the magnificent State of form of his partner at Toro Rosso, Sebastien Buemi, do not help. Alguersuari is offset, and mixing great moments in race with errors that cannot be allowed in their current situation. Be overcome by Buemi isn't the underlying problem; or in any case, it would not be if career he could finish ahead.
The problem with that is the second pilot of the second team of Red Bull is to lose too much time with respect to the Swiss, in training pilot, resulting in too many positions on the grid. This results in a long time to recover in career, and although he manages to do so, as it was the case in Monaco, the nerves can cause results as happened it in that race, finishing against the guardrails.
Jaime recognizes that, although the problem that has prevented him from moving to the Q2 has been above all a plane in its tire, nor had much better pace. This honesty which can be a double-edged weapon lets us always see their real level, and for tomorrow has the objective of reaching the points, if the race is wet. Today we have seen an angry Jaime; We hope to see a very different face tomorrow.
GP of Monaco F1 2011: Fernando Alonso Gets a second position that could have been a victory
Fernando Alonso has led so very remarkable to a second position that could have been a victory. The Grand Prize of Monaco of formula 1 2011 has been really chaotic, with moments of all kinds, and a way out of the safety car and a red flag that have changed the landscape of the race altogether.
But let's look at what has happened since the beginning. At the start, Fernando succeeded in overtaking Mark Webber, placing it in third place, and starting the fight with Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button that has lasted until the checkered flag. At the beginning, Vettel has escaped and the two pursuers have kept some distance away.
With time, the first stops in the pits and the first exit of the safety car, Fernando Alonso has been found with one blow in the second position, ahead of Jenson Button, when it had to stop for a second time. This left Alonso second and with options for attacking the German pilot of Red Bull.
But as they passed the laps, although Jenson Button seemed to have it well, because the logic dictated that Vettel and Alonso would need to stop again, what was seen on the track was very different. Fernando Alonso and especially Sebastian Vettel have decided to risk and staying on track until the end, in a very clear courage sample.
Fernando was dangerously approaching Vettel, while Button was approaching the duo head. There were some last laps exciting over not being able, with three pilots with three different tactics to fight for victory and with Asturian pilot with real options win in Monaco.
In the end could not be, and an accident multiple in the pool area has caused a red flag. If the safety car has helped Fernando, red flag he has hurt, because it has been decided finish the race, allowing the participants to change tyres; and the output has been behind the safety car.
A series of strange decisions that I have not finished to understand, because usually when a race has seen more than 75% of the laps contested, if there are red, flag it is terminated. It has not happened, and the final laps have served to little, Fernando Alonso, who has tried everything to attack Sebastian Vettel.
We cannot know insurance if we would have been able to advance to Sebastian Vettel, but he was prepared to try. I was sure that he would have problems in the final laps, and our plan was to attack at the end. But then he turned the red flag, and we found without space or time. In Monaco can always spend everything. In fact, us us has been very good the first safety car, and very poor second. In the end, seconds out rooms is a great result, which helps the morale of the team and now are very beautiful races in Valencia, and Canada where we will try to return to fight for the podium. The important thing is that Petrov is well.
GP2 Series Spain: Fabio Leimer WINS and Dani Clos achieved the second position
In the race sprint of the GP2 in Spain, the win today was for Fabio Leimer, ahead of Dani Clos and Marcus Ericsson, in an interesting career, but with less overtaking of what we are accustomed in GP2. Leimer has led with an iron hand during all the race, and at no time has been no one who could challenge the victory.
After the race yesterday, and penalties relevant, in the end Dani Clos came out from the third position. The Catalan pilot therefore had serious options of exit for the victory, although taking ahead to pilots as Jules Bianchi and Fabio Leimer, a victory would be, at least, very fought.
In the output, and as already sudecio yesterday, there was an accident that caused the exit of the safety car. Giedo van der Garde had a spectacular start, and arriving at end of line braking, the Barwa Addax driver rolled parallel to Jules Bianchi. It was thus that the two cars made contact, and the remains of the accident had to be cleaned.
This left Dani Clos in second position, and with a rival less for the victory. The safety car has been on track for 4 laps, and upon the resumption of the race, Dani was launched in pursuit of Fabio Leimer, while Charles Pic enfilaba pit lane, with problems in his single-seater. If yesterday was unbeatable for Barwa Addax, today has basically been the opposite.
Leimer had its day, and little by little it has been escaping Dani, who lost the camber of the Swiss, tenth after tenth. Meanwhile, both Marcus Ericsson and Sam Bird came strongly from the rear, ready to fight as necessary to get that second position, or even a victory.
But Dani Clos was not prepared to drop a podium at home, and soon has distanced itself from his pursuers, doing everything possible to challenge the victory to a particularly successful Leimer. Rapax pilot stood out during the offseason, but so far not had any notable career. It is clear that today I wanted to change that.
Halfway through the race, Esteban Gutierrez and Michael Herck, returned to find it (or to "encontronarse", as you look), to despair of the Romanian. Yellow flags in the third sector, and the race continues. Meanwhile, Leimer is pulling force, and Dani Clos begins to lose seconds, while it had been able to stand close during the first half of the race.
A second position is an excellent result, but a victory would be even better. In the end, it was not possible, and Leimer completed a flawless race, with Clos finishing ten seconds, and Marcus Ericsson in third position. At least, the Catalan pilot can have a positive balance of the weekend, has managed to solve the problems of Turkey, who caused him so excessive wear of tyres.
The new leader of the Championship after the Spanish round is Giedo van der Garde, with 21 points, tied with Sam Bird. Behind the leading duo of GP2 we have Charles Pic with 15 points and Romain Grosjean with 13. Dani Clos, for its part, is sixth with nine points. Although it is far from the head of the Championship, even retrieve everything, provided it can improve and fight for the victory in the following races.

Grand Prix of Spain F1 2011: Jaime Alguersuari will emerge from the thirteenth position
Jaime Alguersuari will come out tomorrow from the thirteenth position, after a Q2 of the truly contested qualifying session. The Catalan pilot has not been getting great results in the weekend-free training, and in the end has been superseded by his teammate.
The fact that Sebastien Buemi has finished ahead of Alguersuari is not very positive, since that is the relative dominance of the driver on the driver of Barcelona, at least in regards results. While James has been thirteenth, Sebastien was eleventh.
Unfortunately, Jaime it has been impossible to reach the Q3, although in some ways this is not a surprise, seeing the performance of the Toro Rosso in the last races. Despite this, it must be admitted that the workouts seemed to be the strength of the single-seat this year.
Alguersuari will be eager to achieve a good result in his home race. Hopefully the luck will smile and the car show competitive for what they saw in Turkey. Jaime deserved to score, he has done merits more than sufficient to achieve this, and it will eventually do so.
GP Australia F1 2011: Sebastian Vettel sweeps with his pole position
Behind Vettel, a surprising Lewis Hamilton caught the second position and Mark Webber stayed third but nothing happy. The gaze to the front wing of the Vettel was curious, but above all a big disadvantage between the two Red Bull drivers wonder. Fernando Alonso fifth, It has done as much to what aspiring according to what we have seen in the session. There have been surprises, especially bad. Decepcionante home season for Nick Heidfeld, that when everything indicated that he would be the height of Petrov, but more forward, It has been out to the first Exchange in the Q1. Michael Schumacher at the same time, has also been one of the pilots out of the classification with the label of disappointment, but it should be very careful tomorrow in the race to see her run as both Shumacher and Brawn leading the wall. Rubens Barrichello made a rather unusual mistake, making a spin being beached in the gravel, eliminated in the first Exchange in the Q2 and causing a yellow flag that could have resulted in disaster for many pilots.
By the bottom of the table, the disappointment with capital letters is see how the two Hispania were outside the 107%, something if they have succeeded in overcoming the two Virgin Racing. And that is what escama me, how have not been inside the 107% have done before, and that Hispania with the handful of laps have given has been at the Gates seems a priori unfair.
There will be time to analyze the actions of Alonso and Alguersuari as it is usual in separate articles. My impression is that Jaime took a step forward with good times in the Cronus has been after Michael Schumacher, at 12th position, and that Fernando Alonso has lacked something not is whether in the car or it (the official version is that the circumstances have changed and the car did not respond as) (expected) but I think that it has solved the ballot with very good note.
Oh, and for those who gave for buried McLaren, now they see it. When it comes to deciding things McLaren is where proper. It is a great team, has a very good team of pilots, and although the race is tomorrow I believe that they have shown that where there is, it can be drawn. Quick note to comment on good performances by Sergio Perez, Paul Di Resta and Pastor Maldonado, 13, 14 and 15 in Grill finally.
In conclusion, to go leaving room for the analysis of this first classification of the year, I think that the current format and technical conditions imposed this season you will benefit even more to the best drivers on a single return (see Vettel time)(, see benefits of Buemi) and is detrimental to the same extent as drivers that improve in the "second good round". Eye to the adjustable rear wing that can give some scare as that given to Adrian Sutil at the entrance to the goal line, and I am worried about what will be the wear of tyres in career. But that morning. Now, table of times and we are still analysing.

Nick Heidfeld has already been confirmed to be carried out by Renault R31 instead of Robert Kubica injured this season, according to a German report.
Team Lotus Renault GP as it has announced that the age of 33, Heidfeld, German will test in Jerez this weekend R31, but only as "a potential replacement" car number 9.
But the German newspaper Bild-Zeitung says veteran Heidfeld also will participate in March and beyond.
The newspaper said he has already had the adjustment in the seat of the single-seater R31 in Enstone.
A Renault source told Bild: "(Vitaly) Petrov is relatively inexperienced." For exhaust the full potential of the car, definitely needs a strong and experienced man... “
"And the team has already been talking with Heidfeld in recent years," said the source.
In fact, Heidfeld has been a contender for the post in career alongside Kubica this year, when Renault was considering not to renew contract of Petrov career.
But for the moment, Renault is not confirming the news.
A spokesman told the DPA news agency that would be "inappropriate" decision, "While Kubica is still in intensive care".
And remains part of the rumor Tonio Liuzzi could be summoned to an evaluation for the Barcelona test.
"We must wait tests of Jerez and luckily now also for the Barcelona", confirmed the owner of the team, Gerard Lopez.
Referring to Heidfeld in particular, added: "All know that Nick is quite good, but do not know what level has now, don't know how will do it with our car".
"The same is true with Vitantonio Liuzzi, is the same - I don't know - with Bruno Senna, who last year was on a computer running a car could do nothing", said Lopez.
Nico Hulkenberg manager Willi Weber, however, is convinced: "Nick Heidfeld is going to the race", is quoted by Auto Motor und Sport.
