The better classified with the Leon has been Tiago Monteiro with the old engine 2.0, while none of the units that mounted the new propellant It has been able to get into the Top Ten. dtm_2011-06-04-017.jpg

It continues the streak for Martin Tomczyk this Saturday at Spielberg circuit has won the pole for the race of tomorrow in the Austrian circuit. The German showed his best face on the wet track and exceeded in more than three you decimas and half the time marked by the Audi's Oliver Jarvis.

Third and first Mercedes ended a surprising Ralf Schumacher who got clearly beat the young promise, Eduardo Mortara. Poor turn to the two pilots of the Team Red Bull, Miguel Molina and Mattias Ekstrom that have been deleted in the Q1 and will come from the two last positions of grill.

In the case of the Spanish all the mess of the rain has caught it on track with smooth tires and it has taken a back rather than his rivals to enter pit to change tyres something that he has put on track with adequate tires when it was too late and the track was virtually flooded. This has been the amount of water falling on the Red Bull Ring that even the Q2 has had to stop for a few minutes waiting to blow the rain.

Rally of Sardinia 2011: Sébastien Loeb does not give option and takes the victory. Dani Sordo sixth

As expected the third stage has not had much more emotion in regards to the struggle for the victory. Sebastien Loeb has proved to be the fastest pilot and has been perfectly content attacks from his rivals during this day. Second over Mikko Hirvonen who also managed to take three points from victory in the Power Stage, while the third has finally been Petter Solberg.
Sebastien Ogier for their part also went for this morning, however the young French star has broken its rear suspension when he quarreled with the Norwegian pilot for third place. This will to lift the foot and it left him in fourth place that him away a little momentary struggle for the head of the general classification.
Meanwhile Dani Sordo succeeded in sixth position final and sum the first eight points for the Mini John Cooper Works team. Of course it is a very good start for a Mini Countryman WRC that has shown to be still a bit lacking in form as to the engine. Let us hope that in the upcoming tests the performance of the BMW engine improved to see them further up.

Grand Prix of Turkey F1 2011: Hispania Racing F1 Team takes their two cars to the finish

Yesterday in the classification was good, now in race the situation has been different, but in any case, Hispania Racing F1 Team has carried its two cars to the finish, which is always very important, taking into account the lack of mileage of the team during the preseason.
Hispania career has generally been quietsince that have always been some distance of the Virgin of Jerome D'Ambrosio and the Lotus. While Narain Karthikeyan was trying to keep up with the Belgian pilot, Vitantonio Liuzzi had a day with more problems.
The Italian driver has reached target two turns of his teammate, after a day which has not been easy for him. Arrive at two rounds of your team-mate has to be hard, even if the problems were not necessarily fault.
In any case, within two weeks, Hispania will be the first of two races home with Virgin as a goal to beat, something that today is not impossible, as it was demonstrated in the good classification of Vitantonio Liuzzi yesterday same.

GP2 Asia Series 2011 Imola: Romain Grosjean takes pole

Romain Grosjean has taken the pole for the weekend of Imola in the GP2 Asia Series 2011. Before the weekend that will close the event, the French driver of DAMS has finished ahead of Sam Bird, which was already the fastest in free practice.
In the second row are to Michael Herck, who have mentioned more than once is a living example of a driver considered to be slow and no future that slowly makes its way in the category, without being in the team that his father built for him. After the pilot of Coloni, Jules Bianchi with ART.
Bad luck in general for components Spanish GP2, with Giedo van der Garde, Barwa Addax, as the best pilot of a Spanish team. The others are between the 20th and 25th position. Bad result for Racing Engineering, therefore, that came with many illusions.
But despite these illusions, which also had Dani Clos, Catalan has not been passed in the 20th position. A pity, since that complicates it the careers of tomorrow and last. What it will be interesting will be the fight for the title between Grosjean and Bianchi, which are separated by colons.

Trevor Bayne rookie takes the 500 miles of Daytona

Aged 20 newly (met them on Saturday, the guy) and in his first participation at the event Trevor Bayne has expired in the Daytona 500, and you step become the youngest winner in the history of the mythical 500 miles. Also this has been the first victory in ten years of team Wood Brothers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, which makes it even more special.

The race yesterday was the moves: 74 changes leader with 22 leading different pilots in some point 16 yellow flags, Trevor Bayne leader in the most important moment: to pass the flag to boxes. That Yes, 118 thousandths of a second ahead of Carl Edwards, a priori or rather, who was personally my favorite seen seen. To be able to vote this post you must login or register here.

It is curious Bayne has earned in his first participation, which is what just happened, obviously when opened the race. There, which won do in his first participation. Thus, without removing excessive credit to the first winner of the Daytona 500, Bayne is the only driver to win in his first participation in modern times.

There are also other information which is not only Bayne is rookie, but the race yesterday was his second participation in the series. It is brutal win in your second career, but even more do so in an event of the relevance of the Daytona 500. Coincidence? More luck than anyone else? Do not believe, the truth. Also missed the last sessions of practices.

Now, already more relaxed after the race and to publicize the winner, we will be preparing the summary of the Daytona 500.

GP2 Asia Series Abu Dhabi: Romain Grosjean takes first pole position of the year

If anyone still doubted as steering and their ability to carry the title Romain Grosjean has led the first pole position of the year, in official training for the first race of the GP2 Asia Series in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, in the area are all that have to be.

Grosjean behind with a stratospheric time to four tenths have had Jules Bianchi, closely followed by Valsecchi and Dani Clos, fourth. Van der Garde has confirmed its level, with a well-deserved fifth position, followed by a rather inspired Marcus Ericsson. To be able to vote this post you must login or register here.

As for the beginners, Esteban Gutierrez and Nathanael Berthoin have given very good sensations, topping the ninth and tenth respectively, ahead of pilots as Sam Bird or Oliver Turvey. If they still could reach the European season with very good level.

In spite of this, the session has not been empty of incidents, since that Mikhail Aleshin has been penalised three positions for having crossed the finish line twice after completing the qualifying session. In addition, Fairuz Fauzy has been relegated to the tail of grilled by a touch with Cecotto.

The first race of the season, and this ultimately will be held at noon two (Spanish hour), while the "sprint" race is reserved for Saturday. Hopefully tomorrow see a good result for Dani Clos, but above all, an interesting career. The protagonists at the moment, are suitable.
