For the first time in the recent history of the DTM, a pilot with a car for a year (taking into account that the newest version of the Championship is still the 2009) grinds out two victories in a season. And they might not be the only ones. In the past, Jamie Green, in 2010 and 2010 Norisring and Gary Paffett in Oschersleben 2007 had achieved that milestone.
After the victory achieved in the Bull Ring network, in the day yesterday, Martin Tomczyk took the win at the Eurospeedway Lausitz without that no one could stop them. Third on grid, German climbed a position at the exit to deal the final blow to Bruno Spengler during the first round of stops. The Canadian first entered something that advantage Tomczyk to continue shooting and trying to get the necessary distance. A wonderful move of refueling and change of wheels of the team of Tomczyk, 3.2 seconds by the 3.7 of Spengler, allowed producing change in the leadership.
From there, and with free land by delanta, Martin Tomczyk was the direct and no one could or coughing you. Not even Timo Scheider. The two-time (2008 and 2009) started from the ninth position but a strategy with a very long first stop and a second very short allowed to ascend to the second position ahead of Spengler. Finally the Canadian was third in 14 seconds! Winner Tomczyk.
For its part, very unlucky of Miguel Molina. The Spanish was gradually ascending positions to sixth position. A result which would have allowed it to achieve the first points of the season.
