EuroCup Formula Renault 2.0: Robin Frijns is done with the lead after the zero of Carlos Sainz Jr.

Timmy Hansen managed his first victory in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, specifically in the second race of the day this weekend. In turn, Robin Frijns signed a victory in the first race and a second place in the second, which together with the zero Carlos Sainz, Jr. in the second race (eighth - 4 points- and fifteenth) does it install as new leader of the contest. The proof of Hungaroring has been a tough nut to crack for Sainz Jr.
In the first race, very good output from the second position of grid to take the top position and start to throw miles, opening hole during the first laps on Daniil Kvyat and Oscar Andres Tunjo Frijns. Carlos Sainz Jr., for his part, came in sixth row and was past the twists behind Timmy Hensen. Russian Kyvat lost finally for Oscar Andres Tunjo second position by a mechanical problem in the gearbox. However end third despite everything, and with the race setting the big beneficiary was Robin Frijns, who assumed the leadership of the Championship, and Kyvat that recortaba also valuable points about Carlos Sainz Jr.
The second race saw as Timmy Hansen came out of the pole and won his first race in the competition. Robin Frijns pulled oil with a second position behind it decisively as leader of the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, while Carlos Sainz Jr has lost if cabe more fuelle fifth position with the zero fruit of his tenth.

Formula Renault 3.5 Hungaroring 2011: Jean-Eric Vergné completes a perfect weekend

What second race of the Formula Renault 3.5 at Hungaroring , which we saw yesterday! Jean-Eric Vergne won again, completing a perfect weekend. If race saw the French to reduce distances to Robert Wickens, the second has seen him become leader of the general. The podium it completed Albert Costa and Adam Carroll, with good runs.
But not only good careers led them to the podium, and Sergio Canamasas as Robert Wickens, who finished in second and third position respectively, received two penalties in the final result, because their teams loose them boxes at a time considered to be dangerous. A penalty for Sergio, although that would contribute to the success of coast.
The history of the race saw a Sergio Canamasas losing the lead for a successful Vergne, trying to escape from the Spanish. Did not succeed until the arrival of the pit stops, that he gave a small advantage to the Red Bull driver. Albert Costa said that him, for this seems a reward by the penalty received in Monaco, and will offset more than.
Adam Carroll, for its part, has increased his pace when he reported the criminalization Canamasas and Wickens, and he earned the podium by just one-tenth. Had it not been so, we have seen two Spanish pilots on the podium of the Hungarian circuit, although the fourth position of Sergio, along with the third yesterday, he raises until the 11th position of the general.
In addition, nobody can escape that their results have been with a lower car and less media, so in the paddock of the Championship him begins to see as a kind of revelation of the season, above all, being ahead of his teammate in the interim classification of the Championship, which was his main objective at the start of season.
The following quote from the Championship will be in many weeks, the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 August, at Silverstone. With two-thirds of the Championship already disputed, there are just quotes from Silverstone, Paul Ricard and Montmelo. Well sure Jean-Eric Vergne and Robert Wickens, colleagues in the Carlin team, fight for victory, and we hope that our pilots continue to improve.

The FIA ensures that the new V6 will ring as engines of formula 1

After several dimes and bickering with the theme of the new engines of formula one, the FIA finally decided that the new V6 turbocharged 1.6 liters make their entrance in 2014. The solution of the thrusters turbo 4 cylinder did not have too many supporters, so the regulator opted to change its initial approach.
One of the main concerns of the parties involved is that the new generation of engines does not have a sound like the now. A very characteristic of the formula one melody. Bernie Ecclestone and the organizers of the races had their doubts about how it would sound the thrusters, and the FIA has come to the step by ensuring that the new V6 will be similar to the current V8 with regard to the sound.
In a statement issued a few days ago the FIA stated:
Revolutions have increased from 12,000 to 15,000 to allow greater flexibility in terms of power and consumption management engineers. Well it is true that, as a result of the new architecture (V6) and the change of the speed limit, the engine will sound different, but will continue to be representative of formula one.
Now, as well stated Stephen Viso a few months ago, former V12 Yes were the true sound of formula one. And I am afraid that we will never again heard such noise in a circuit, or themselves?

Formula Renault 3.5 Hungaroring 2011: victoria Jean-Eric Vergné and Sergio Canamasas achieved his first podium finish

Jean-Eric Vergne has imposed in the first race of the Formula Renault 3.5 at Hungaroring, with Sergio Canamasas in third position. Between the two drivers we have Alexander Rossi. A returned Adam Carroll has finished in fourth position, Wickens in fifth position and Kevin Korjus in the sixth. The points have completed Nelson Panciatici, Brendon Hartley, Nathanael Berthoin and Cesar Ramos
The first important casualty of the race was Daniel Ricciardo, who after a mistake in the round of installation, ran off the runway and did not start. Jean-Eric Vergne attacked from the first round, followed closely by Daniil Move, and Brendon Hartley in third position, further. Fifth rolled a returned Adam Carroll, with Sergio Canamasas sixth, very inspired.
Albert Costa, after a poor qualifying session, was in 11th position at the time. The first step toward goal we have seen how Charouz and Robert Wickens have starred a PIN maneuver that saw Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello last year, in the same Hungaroring circuit. Inexplicably, the "anger" has been to Wickens, it has had the position "of Barrichello".
In any case, the Canadian has not received any penalty, and at the end has been able to finish in fifth position, which helps you to keep ahead of his rival in the fight for the Championship, the French Vergne, pilot of Red Bull. You will have to see what happens tomorrow at Hungaroring, but keep things as until now, the fight is already only Vergne and Wickens, others are too far already.
As Albert Costa, has been forced to leave after a touch with Jan Charouz. The Czech driver has had two "lances," with Wickens and coast, and still has not received any penalty by the Organization, which is worthy of mention. A pity, since Costa had good pace and it would have been able to complete in an acceptable position.
The other Catalan pilot, Sergio Canamasas, has been impressive in bars late, and after a start of track and almost losing position with Wickens and Korjus, the first two classified before the race, has escaped from them, has come down to Adam Carroll and has managed to tell you to get a well deserved first podium in the World Series by Renault, which you aupan up to the 12th position of the general.
Half of career have begun casualties; the first Daniil Move, after a touch with Brendon Hartley. After a few laps, the own Hartley had touch in his struggle with Alexander Rossi and this has made it to loosen the pace, losing time. At the time, therefore, Sergio Canamasas filming in the fourth position, behind ahead of Carroll.
Finally, Brendon Hartley has received a penalty of 10 seconds for the touch with Alexander Rossiand Canamasas has been able to loosen the pace and ensure first podium. Now, Robert Wickens leads with 142 points, against Jean-Erick Vergne 127, with Kevin Korjus further back, with 110 points. Interesting Championship, but with fewer pilots with options to win. Tomorrow will be the second race of the Hungarian event.

Ken Block height is endangering his proof of a formula 1

High or large people are accustomed to not enter, or at least not be anything comfortable, racing cars. This is the case of Ken Block, which this week has discovered that it is too large to drive a formula 1. That is why his test at the Monza circuit of the Pirelli could be in danger.
The American was able to see first-hand that it came in the cockpit when he visited on Thursday the factory of Toyota Motorsport in Cologne for further details of the car and try the simulator of the Japanese. The main problem is apparently that Block could sit in the passenger compartment, but could not turn the steering wheel to collide with his legs.
Unable to sit in the 2009 Toyota brand is looking for other alternatives, as the use for testing a oldest in which Ken if between. That has left more than clear is that this test has become a promotional rather than something valuable event for the development of tyres.

Victories of Robert Wickens and Kevin Korjus in the meeting of the Formula Renault 3.5 at the Nürburgring

After a weekend with victories of Robert Wickens and Kevin Korjus in the meeting of the Formula Renault 3.5 at the Nurburgring, the Canadian pilot stands with the lead of the Championship, when we arrived at the equator of the same. This means that it will test a formula Renault when it comes to the next meeting of the Formula Renault 3.5 at the Hungaroring circuit.
The first of two races saw an incredible fight between Robert Wickens and Daniel Ricciardo, with final victory of the third pilot Marussia Virgin Racing. Both are perhaps the pilots with the best combination of talent and experience of the category today. The two showed his class, finishing nearly 23 seconds ahead of Kevin Korjus, the third occupant of the podium.
Cesar Ramos got the first position of the pilots out of the podium, followed by our Albert Costa, the fifth, which continues to be regular, though perhaps lack a bit of speed in order to achieve better results. In a race very complicated, so only the track, wet State Parties highlighted Sergio Canamasas, sixth just behind her compatriot.
The second race was even more emotion prepared for spectators combregados fantastic Nurburgring circuit. In the first curve, a touch resulted in a spin to kevin korjus, who made the mandatory pit stop before the safety car to come to the track. It was done, as they would be stopping their rivals, the Estonian was climbing positions, and at the end he managed to win the victory.
Who lost a possible victory was Fairuz Fauzy, off track after blocking the wheels in a puddle of water before the Veedol chicane. That happened after his obligatory stop in the pits when filming ahead Korjus. In the end, it was even surpassed by Robert Wickens unleashed, which regained positions up second, ahead of the pilot Malaysian who completed the podium.
Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniel Ricciardo finished behind Fauzy, and just ahead of Albert Costa, who still score points, and although it is far from the lead of the Championship, it is not so much, for the runner-up. We hope that Hungary his luck changed a little and can fight for the podium or even for a victory which already deserves to get.

Adam Parr believes that it is too late to alter the formula 1 calendar

The situation in Bahrain is complicated, we know, and more after the statements of Bernie Ecclestone. Which teams are against the dispute of the race, also know it. Today, Adam Parr has declared that it considers that it is too late to alter the formula one calendar. The Williams it is very clear, and does so see.
Parr is giving us, then, another reason to think that the Grand Prix of Bahrain 2011 should be simply cancelled. So that the calendar be changed really, absolutely all the teams have to agree. If it is not the case, such a change would not be valid and, therefore, teams could refuse to go to Bahrain for the race.
We are concerned by the fans, sponsors and teams, which they have organized themselves to be in India a weekend in particular, on 30 October, and we have a calendar where the race would be on December 11. As you can go to the people that have paid for two weeks of vacation in India to see the race and say "sorry, you'll be in India but we are not"?
I am completely agree with what says the CEO of Williams; logistically it is an impressive chaos, change the race of time, and this is something that should take account of the FIA. I don't believe in fate, but when the situation in Bahrain is far from clear, and change the date of the Grand Prize of the India could bring bad consequences, better to go to something else.

Sergio Pérez is able to compete in the Grand Prize of Canada of formula 1

It has been today same that we have received the happy news that Sergio Perez is able to compete in the in Canada of formula one Grand Prix, after being granted permission by the FIA. The Sauber driver said two days ago that it supposed to be good for the race, although lacking official confirmation.
This confirmation was given her by FIA after checking that the physical state of the Mexican was good enough as to undergo a week-end of effort within the single-seater. It seems that this is the case, and so we will see a small pilot, runner-up of the GP2 in 2010, premiered in another Street circuit.
"Checo" Perez explains that he went to the testing that the FIA requested and all results came out correctly, as expected. Doctors that hicieron the analysis General Sergio health have concluded that does not have any injury and, therefore, this puts end to what could have been a much more serious accident.
After Monaco, I flew to Zurich to get a medical checkup, and from there went to Mexico. I have been able to spend some days in house, which has been very positive for my. Then, on Monday and Tuesday I did something of karting, so I knew it was OK.

The Mexican circuit Hermanos Rodriguez close to formula one

In Mexico there is a phenomenon of masses with the debut of Sergio Perez in formula one. The boom so compared with happened when Fernando Alonso came to the great circus. Interest has grown to such an extent that the authorities of the country want the competition again to step on Aztec soil more than two decades later.
Today Tuesday Charlie Whiting, the FIA race director, and a delegate of security of the Agency, they intend to inspect the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The idea is that this permanent circuit to host a formula 1 race. To this end, the necessary first step is obtaining the approval of the FIA.
The Mexican Jose Abed, one of the Vice-Presidents of the FIA, said Televisa:
He will give a revised, hence takes the documents, they lead them to the FIA, in the Commission of circuits with Julian Abed, Charlie Whiting and the entire Commission will do the review so that Charlie has ever seen and then we'll see that it is what is needed. The important thing is to bring back the formula, we have a race track here already 80% done, if we need to adapt the pits because it we adapt them, if we have to adjust the curves, because them we adapt, we can then adapt what is, I believe that we have the capacity of that and more in Mexico.
To Bernie Ecclestone would like Mexico to host a test of the world again. Something which by the way already took place between 1963 and 1970 and between 1986 and 1992 in the same circuit, the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. While pay what corresponds him won't have any problem, that I am convinced.

The Grand Prize of France could switch their presence in the calendar of Spa-Francorchamps formula

In the day yesterday, we mentioned the possible new contract of the Valencia Street Circuit with the formula that would ensure its presence in the calendar until the year 2020, while paying a whopping of EUR 27 million for each year. The thrust of the circuits of Middle East and Asia is making contributions to reach figures awesome life circuits.
Therefore, the great prizes that can not get to pay the fee requested by Bernie Ecclestone weighed up alternatives to keep Formula 1 and the prestige which entails. And the main alternative is to switch their presence in the calendar with other tests. This idea is around for some time at the head of the organizers of the Grand Prize of Belgium in Spa-Francorchamps which could find its salvation table in France. France held his last Grand Prix in Magny Cours in 2008 and since then they have sought to recover it. Here is the opportunity they were looking for.

The economic crisis is not going with the formula

To then say that there is a crisis. Formula one income will amount to 1,789 billion dollars this year, or what is the same, some 1,220 million euros to the change. That is the estimated amount that will enter Formula One Group, consisting of Formula One Management, Formula One Administration, Formula One Licensing BV this year 2011.
Canon to host Grand Prix, which last year saw a total of $ 568 million, probably will be the source of income for higher growth. Someone you surprised? So like squeezing to Bernie Ecclestone to those interested in holding the formula 1 races. All this in a context of global economic crisis, something that the small Warhol lives outside. Crisis, what crisis?
Making numbers, get each Grand Prize to pay, on average, nearly $ 30 million to host a formula 1 race. Almost 20 million euros to date for the conclusion of a test of the category Queen of the engine. Does not comply with the amounts that are shuffled, Bernie Ecclestone is continuing negotiations with several organizers to increase revenue, see cases of Australia, Singapore, Spa, Turkey or Valencia.
The higher paying to be part of the great circus rises to 50 million dollars, and is expected to increase to 100 million dollars by the end of this decade. An authentic nonsense. On the other hand, the total income of the group that controls formula one is expected to grow to us $ 2 billion in 2012 and reach the more than 3,250 million $ in 2016.
That business marche wind in its sails and all sailing would be for the benefit of the participating teams, who share 50% of revenue. I do not think that the latter have many complaints about the management of the little tyrant at the head of formula one, since that, indirectly, also leave beneficiaries of aggressive tactics negotiators of this. It is true that there is always some discordant voice which seemed little that it is in the cast.

Kimi Raikkonen, why formula one left?

Great prize of the Netherlands in 1973. One of the saddest moments of formula 1

Beyond of the victory of Ronnie Peterson, the Dutch Grand Prix of 1973 in the layout of Zandvoort is best remembered for one of the saddest moments in the history of formula 1 and for a more heroic actions that are recalled that, unfortunately, it did not have the desired end. Roger Williamson became the fourteenth pilot who died in a Grand Prix.
In the eighth lap of the race, the seat of Roger Williamson suffered a puncture losing control and impacting against the races. Without control and wrapped in flames, March 731 British pilot began to roll down the runway for 300 metres with the bad luck that was upside down, making impossible that Williamson might get out of the single-seat.
The situation that was happening, one of the pilots, David Purley, did not hesitate a moment stop next to the track and run toward the car accident trying to turn it to enable Williamson as well out of it. Powerless, and not giving credit to anyone assist him (called for help from the public which could not access to the track as security prevented him) tried to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher, the only one who had.
It did not succeed. Currently Purley was beginning to be noted that his teammate could be already dead. Pulled shot and exhausted, David Purley him out of the track a Commissioner, who instead of helping the desperate pilot, only contemplated as everything was happening (without protection, dare not get into the fire). Worst of all is that Williamson died not from the accident, but that died afixiado by the smoke from the fire.

Inexplicably, and despite being the single-seater wrapped in flames, the Commissioners of that race showed only yellow flag. The management thought at all times that Williamson had managed to get out of the car and not made any decision. These decisions were made to the fire truck took a whopping eight minutes at the scene of the accident.
The action of David Purley was awarded the George Medal, the second highest award that can be given to a civilian in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

The Formula Renault 3.5 World Series debut single-seat in 2012

Last Friday, on the occasion of the appointment that the Formula Renault 3.5 World Series played in the Monte Carlo Street Circuit, the Organization unveiled the new car that will use the Championship starting in 2012. It will not be a completely new car, but that it will be an evolution of the current, developed by Dallara, who but.
The reason for keeping the chassis and just "tweak it" is purely economic, and thus contain costs. Yet for the purpose of pilotage shall be a "new" car that aerodynamics has changed completely allowing 34% more support. But beyond the changes, the most characteristic point will be the implementation of a DRS to act on the Gurney flap. The use of this system will allow pilots to win 20 km/h on the straights.

As regards the motorisation, it shall be borne by zytek motorsport, signing with which Nissan (Renault owned) is lately working on his project of resistance in LMP2. The new V8 engine of 3.4 liters will deliver 530 HP (50 HP more than the current). With regard to tyres, changes again, because that Michelin has developed a new compound. The pack of improvements will allow pilots to be two seconds faster per lap.
Finally, another of the great innovations of this car is that it will be the first to not use drums through a system developed in collaboration with XAP Electronique and that it will have an anti-calado system to overcome the absence of starter motor. A step forward in competition that we will probably see soon in more vehicles of this type.

Daniel Ricciardo wins the race of the Formula Renault 3.5 of Monaco

Daniel Ricciardo has won the race of the Formula Renault 3.5 of Monaco, after a flawless career which has led from the moment of departure to the flag to boxes. The podium have completed what Robert Wickens, who has recovered points to Jean-Eric Vergne, and Brendon Hartley, who went out from the front row.
At the time of the release, Daniel Ricciardo has maintained the first position on the grid, while Robert Wickens has been smart and has advanced to Brendon Hartley, that it has fallen to third place. Albert Costa, for his part, has climbed to fourth, after a really bold departure, avoiding the walls by very little space.
Arriving at the equator of the race, the positions were kept equal, with Daniel Ricciardo driving without any error, followed by Robert Wickens closely, and a little further, Brendon Hartley. Albert Costa was further away, and has had to fend off Alexander Rossi, who had many win, and it is that Rossi is an extremely talented.
As they pass the minutes and the laps, we have seen how the cars were moving more, and it is that the tires have their limits, and after 22 minutes of race, they were already beginning to find it. Shortly after the mid-point of the race, an accident between Jan Charouz and Anton Nebylitskiy has caused the exit of the safety car.
To the remprenderse race, Alexander Rossi has ahead of Albert Costa, joining this long in the Mirabeau curve, but the American pilot has come out of the track in Uptown of the circuit, which has returned the fourth position at the expense and has returned to lead a way out of the safety car, 8 minutes, the race has become to start.
Despite the emotions that could give us this situation, the race has followed the same script that so far, with cars separating between them. In the end, the positions have not changed, and only an accident between Cesar Ramos and Sergio Canamasas in the penultimate round has brought excitement, because Wickens has hooked to Ricciardo to passing through the area.
The Canadian pilot has been able to pass on the side of the rugged car of the Catalan pilot, and has tried to attack to the Australian Red Bull-backed, but it has been impossible. In the end, emotion to the last curve but the positions have not changed, and Championship tightens even more than I was before Monaco.
Update: Albert Costa has been penalized for having moved the car shortly before departure, and it has fallen to ninth position. We will update with the classification of the race and the championship points, as soon as possible.
1 Jean-Eric Vergne - 94pts
2 Robert Wickens - 89pts
3 Albert Costa - 74pts
4 Alexander Rossi - 73pts
5 Daniel Ricciardo - 61

This is the diffuser of a formula 1

The abandonment due to problems in the gearbox of Felipe Massa has allowed that thanks to the crane and a well positioned photographer, one of the secrets of Ferrari 150 Italy come to light, at least their diffuser design. Although known problems, seems that already endemic, single-seat Italian cargo aerodynamics, this photo is more example of what should not be.
At first glance, the diffuser seems a simple piece, but after the design of this piece, is esconcen good party options so that a single-seater is competitive. A diffuser is to take advantage of the Venturi effect. The diffuser accelerates the flow of air flowing under the single-seat, which creates a low pressure area which increases the adhesion of the car. In summary, a diffuser is producing the desired ground effect. A piece in the hands of Ross Brawn reached its maximum expression. So nothing better than a video to remember the controversy of 2009 and the Brawn GP BGP001.

Robert Kubica will not return to formula one this season

A few weeks ago, after 80 days of hospitalization due to the accident in the rally Ronde di Androa, Robert Kubica was the medical discharge and began the most arduous part of the process that has to take him back to formula one: the rehabilitation of his ailing right hand. The objective of the Polish pilot was none other than return before the end of the season. It seems that it won't.
During the past Grand Prize of Spain, the pattern of Lotus Renault Grand Prix, Gerard Lopez claimed that Robert Kubica will not return to formula one in 2011, although did not rule out that it might play some free training day on Friday. In this way, we already know that Nick Heidfeld will keep the wheel throughout the season and that Robert Kubica will focus on to be the driver who has shown us again. We will only be further opining on what had been done Kubica to Renault F31.

Kimi Raikkonen does not rule out return to formula one

Last month and a half, we learned that Kimi Raikkonen would do the Americas with Kyle Busch Motorsports. This has been the interest the Finnish on the other side of the Atlantic that they say he has rejected millions offers to run on a full-time NASCAR. At the moment Ferrari divides his time between the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the WRC.
What seemed to be a farewell in every rule of formula 1 in 2009 may not be such. Finnish does not rule out a possible return to the great circus. So far indicates that it has no plans for 2012 and it will hardly take a decision before January. No hurry to decide their future.
Asked at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on his experience in NASCAR, Ferrari replied:
Do not have have plans for the coming year. I'll see how it develops all because he didn't have expectations when I came to NASCAR. It's a bit like when I started with the rally. It's the same story here, clearly is a different sport and a competition different from what we are accustomed in Europe. My plan this year were the rallies, NASCAR is when I have time... If it turns out to be a disaster there is no reason to return. I do not know yet. We go every day and see how goes. What is to come in the future, come.
The champion of the world of formula 1 in 2007 continued:
There are many reasons why I left the formula 1. I always said that I did not know if he was going to be forever. I wanted to try other things and had the opportunity of the rallies and now have time for NASCAR. I'm happy with how everything is now but I have never said that I will not return to formula one. Maybe I never again, again, maybe yes I, the future will tell. Never I make plans for the year by January, so probably will have to wait to see what happens.
Which is why you see Kimi Raikkonen will again have to many in suspense. It takes it calmly Iceman. Sincerely to a server not him it desagradaria at all to see the Finnish at the controls of a formula 1. You have him back in a competitive car would be a luxury.

Formula one study changes in the schedule to make room the Grand Prize of Bahrain

It seems that the FIA and Bernie Ecclestone want to do all that is necessary to hold the Grand Prize of Bahrain of 2011. After the political problems in the country, the Grand Prize was suspended but was given a deadline to decide if it was eventually cancelled, or if on the contrary, it could relocate at end of season. The first deadline to make the final decision was met on May 1. Even so, the FIA decided to modify date and allow them more time. The new deadline is June 3. What seems clear is that to civil or criminal
Now, Autosport reports, to make room for the Grand Prize of Bahrain, the FIA could modify the calendar. These changes would be passed on that great prize of the India left his gap to Bahrain, October 30, while the appointment at the Jaypee Group Circuit became the final race of the Championship, in the weekend of December 4 and a week after the Grand Prize of Brazil.
With these changes, Bernie Ecclestone and the FIA would kill two birds with one stone. They are hollow to Bahrain and the organizers of the Grand Prize of the India give them a month to complete the works and not to risk a new problem as the one which occurred last year with the circuit in Yeongam.

James Hunt, the vividor which he became champion of formula 1

Nace James Hunt “The Shunt”.
