Before formula 1: Sauber, younger and richer

Sauber started the season 2011 in a very different way to how began the 2010 season. Twelve months ago, the team suffered major economic problems, entered in the grid in extremis and developed a car that, although it had good potential, stayed far behind from the first day because of lack of developments, fruit of the little money from the team. Now, Sauber has two young pilots and considerably more money.
This money which has come in the form of Mexico, the country of his new pilot sponsors, will help, in principle, to consolidate a little and get to where the team would have to be. But where should be the C30 Sauber? Its predecessor, the C29, made some good runs, and the C30 had his day of glory on Thursday in Montmelo. In principle, the objective of the team should be improved, but will have to wait.

These sponsors have come from the hand Mexico Sergio "checo" Perez, one of the young stars of the firmament of the formula that shine with more force. Not in vain it gave problems to Pastor Maldonado last year in GP2, despite years of experience of this in the category. Perez, for his part, was not a veteran, and all these facts were not hidden. Sauber saw in him a candidate to his steering wheel, and Ferrari a pilot of the future.
But, what about the teammate of Sergio Perez? I think that the best way to describe the "other" Sauber driver is done in two words: Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese driver very affected by what has happened in the country of the rising sun last week, is a synonym for value, and perhaps a little reckless. Although there is one thing that is undeniable; its speed. Kamui will want to consolidate in F1 in 2011, and perhaps draw the attention of a larger team.
Logically, this pair of pilots that the paper is so strong, must have a weak point. Personally, I think that the weakness of Sauber in 2011 is going to be very clear, although it may be that the pilots give us a pleasant surprise and did me look bad. Despite this, in principle, the development of the car could be complicatedby the lack of experience that both Perez and Kobayashi are, in this area in particular.

For this season, Sauber will continue with the engines Ferrari, which in principle should be synonymous with reliability and power, but in 2010, the reliability was not too good for bars initials of the Championship. In addition, the team has James Key since the start of season, which should be a guarantee. In principle, is therefore supposed that Sauber would have to have very specific objectives.
These objectives should be, first and above all, improve the final position of the last year. I have the feeling that an eighth position in the constructors championship know you little to this team Sauber, which I believe should be aimed at the seventh final position. Kobayashi earned in one of his moments of genius, a sixth in Britain, in addition to two seventh positions. I am not sure that they get to match these results, although no doubt will be the goal.
In general, 2011 team Sauber looks on paper, much better than the Sauber team's 2010, albeit with some large important unknowns. What good the seat for the season? Do pilots, Kamui Kobayashi, and Sergio Perez will be able to detect the problems of the C30 and give possible solutions on how to improve the performance of the car the team improve their results? We have to wait.
