It's funny but is not nothing usual read that Michael Schumacher admitted that something is not going well, or not going as well as it was expected. In this case, the statements pointing in the direction that the 2011 Formula one season is not going as planned despite the current optimism, and it is now exactly the role of Schumacher in the structure of Mercedes in F1.
The benefits are not expected, developments do not arrive with expected efficiency and the alacrity, and most critical is that the benefits are affected by the fact that working on improving "many things at once". This lack of focus, or more well excess of diversity make that progress is slow and sometimes seems erratic. In fact this season have not stepped still the podium even if they are really close.
By 2012 things should be better. Michael Schumacher glimpse (in my opinion) is his role in the team that is none other than the develop Mercedes GP as a team of top level. I don't think it is in the team for (future) results themselves, if not of the team as a whole, thing that surely will see in the short term:
All our attention is focused on building the team. That is the focus at the moment, without exception or limitation
