Weaker teams, those who benefit most by the cancellation of Barhein

David Coulthard and Mark Webber have subtracted importance to suggestions that the cancellation of Bahrain could play a decisive role for the weakest of the F1 teams today.

With the new McLaren MP4-26 not having the potential provided by the team of Woking, nowadays in terms of speed or reliability, Lewis Hamilton said he was happy of the Championship delay its onset until Australia, "gives us more time to prepare", said the British.

"We need to update and don't have much time until the start of the season," he said.

Brundle, former McLaren driver and BBC commentator agreed: "This (overtime) will help some teams who were struggling to get faster and more reliable cars".

"Is going to play into their hands," he told the BBC.

However, Mark Webber, with possibly the best car on the grid, Red Bull kb7 replied: "I do not think that extra two weeks make a big difference".

"It is the same for all." We always are ready to run in two weeks", said the Australian.

"Freight transport will still have to leave very early to Melbourne", he added Webber.

Former teammate of Red Bull, David Coulthard has a similar view.

"This is an area in which I do not necessarily agree with Martin," wrote the Scot, who will share the BBC comments box with Brundle in 2011, in his latest column Telegraph.

"The response I'm allegedly getting Ferrari and Red Bull are in the lead, implicitly, what is suggested is that could help Mercedes and McLaren".

"Yes, McLaren will have an extra two weeks time factory, but also does Ferrari." "And with a single test will not be any time the track more to put to the test piece or work reliability," Coulthard insisted.
