Just a week after the opening session of official tests of the year in Valencia, Pirelli is back on track once more proof of the second group, which includes four days in the Spanish circuit of Jerez.
The circuit of Jerez, which last hosted a formula 1 Grand Prix in 1997, presents a great contrast to Valencia, allowing teams to explore different features of the new PZero rubber.
Pirelli will bring four compounds of tyres slick - extra soft, soft, medium and hard - Spanish circuit, as well as intermediate tyres and extreme rainfall. Pirelli is well prepared if the climate becomes humid in Jerez.
The pneumatic extra soft slick compound offers optimum performance, but for a limited period of time. The soft version offers similar performance, but with a longer duration. Medium compound provides a balance between the strength and performance, while version lasts for longer distances.
Jerez test, this week the average compound has been developed, in response to the data obtained during the tests and comments from the teams and drivers. Each car will receive a maximum of 30 tires games allocation in Jerez, which is part of the overall allocation of 100 games of tyres for four preseason testing.
