Aldo Costa has subtracted importance to fears that the new Ferrari is too conservative in comparison with rivals for the 2011 formula one season.
Among the most innovative in this 2011 are McLaren, with radical pontoons, Renault with front outlet exhaust, and the rear ultra-baja Williams with a gearbox small, and the double apartment of Toro Rosso.
"The more futuristic projects are not always better than the most conservative," insisted Fernando Alonso to La Stampa newspaper last week.
The team's technical director is the Asturian.
"I think that the fastest car will be who has the best balance between aerodynamic performance, mechanical and reliability," said Costa cited by L'Equipe in France.
"If you try something extreme in an area, one can pay for it in another, so that a car earn a balanced approach is needed", added.
Costa also revealed F150 Ferrari, will take place between now and the first race of the season at Bahrain.
"Mechanically, the car is nearly complete in Jerez de la Frontera (this week)," said the Italian, "but from the aerodynamic point of view, there is still a lot of changes ahead".
"More than an extreme point of view, are looking for a productive approach", he insisted, "and ultimately will be the lap time who give the verdict."
