Nick Heidfeld will Renault R31 testing this week at the Jerez circuit to be a substitute for the injured Robert Kubica.
Former driver Sauber replaced the ejected Pedro de la Rosa in 2010, has become the leading candidate to replace Kubica to Renault in 2011.
