Bourdais gives finished his career in F1

Sebastien Bourdais is sure that his formula one career is over.

After a dominant career on the American stage, the French joined F1 in 2008 but ran into problems with Toro Rosso.

The Red Bull Junior team left him half way towards his next season and since then has competed in sports car series and the Superleague.

Bourdais, now almost over 32 years, tried recently an IndyCar to a return to the American scene, but admitted in an interview with sports.fr far from his career in F1.

"To me, F1 has ended, and - in any case - I don't want to run in the background."

"Unless someone comes to me with a very interesting offer, which I very much doubt, I will give you a page back to leave the Nurburgring circuit in 2009?."

"I had some good races, some bad and some (the) terrible." "I have the experience, but I have 32 soon, so I am aware that the time has passed."

"I had my opportunity and things not worked exactly as I wanted, but it happened." I now am in search of other challenges", said Bourdais.
