After two years working together and developing the first single-seat entirely developed with CFD, Marussia Virgin Racing has decided to break his collaboration with Wirth research. The company directed by Nick Wirth has been responsible for the design of the single-seater two of the British team, the VR-01 and the MVR-02, and so have not resorted or a second to the help of the wind tunnel as do the rest of rivals.

It can be designed and can develop a single-seater with computers, but when it comes to validate the results, wind tunnel provides data that the computer does not give. For the current season, the goal of Marussia Virgin Racing was strain is usually in the Q2, and now they are more concerned with the approach of Hispania Racing F1 Team to to war the Team Lotus.
Wirth Research will continue to work in the development of the evolutions of this season, but with immediate effect, the wind tunnel will again have his egg in the equation. As for the technical chart, after "forced" retirement, Pat Symonds, Counsellor of Marussia Virgin Racing, will take will be one of the team's new Lords.
In a step further, Marussia Virgin Racing aims to sign a collaboration agreement with McLaren, similar to the Woking team has to Force India. This will allow use of the technology, KERS, McLaren transmision…de and try to fight for a podium in the Grand Prize of Russia to be held in Sochi in 2014. That last would be the real dream of the current owners, Marussia.
