Excellent result achieved in the Saturday, and ratified on Sunday on Bump Day (although not endangered his position), by Oriol Servia. In their third participation in the 500-mile Indianapolis, Servia won third place in the standings, allowing you to leave on Sunday in the front row behind the surprising poleman, Alex Tagliani, and Scott Dixon who ran out of gasoline in the last of the laps of his attempt.
But if ahead there were surprises, behind also any. Drivers Andretti Autosport, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Mike Conway (winner this season at Long Beach) and Raphael Matos failed to slip between the 33 posts that give rise to compete in the Indy 500. In the case of Mike Conway, the British returned to the layout in which last year suffered a terrible accident that had him in the dry dock for several months.
One of the curiosities of the Indy 500 in 2011, is that, as in 2010, there will be no less than four classified women. Simona Silvestro, Ana Beatriz, Pippa Mann and Danica Patrick won a place among the best during a Bump Day marked by the rain.
