GP2 Series Spain: Fabio Leimer WINS and Dani Clos achieved the second position

In the race sprint of the GP2 in Spain, the win today was for Fabio Leimer, ahead of Dani Clos and Marcus Ericsson, in an interesting career, but with less overtaking of what we are accustomed in GP2. Leimer has led with an iron hand during all the race, and at no time has been no one who could challenge the victory.
After the race yesterday, and penalties relevant, in the end Dani Clos came out from the third position. The Catalan pilot therefore had serious options of exit for the victory, although taking ahead to pilots as Jules Bianchi and Fabio Leimer, a victory would be, at least, very fought.
In the output, and as already sudecio yesterday, there was an accident that caused the exit of the safety car. Giedo van der Garde had a spectacular start, and arriving at end of line braking, the Barwa Addax driver rolled parallel to Jules Bianchi. It was thus that the two cars made contact, and the remains of the accident had to be cleaned.
This left Dani Clos in second position, and with a rival less for the victory. The safety car has been on track for 4 laps, and upon the resumption of the race, Dani was launched in pursuit of Fabio Leimer, while Charles Pic enfilaba pit lane, with problems in his single-seater. If yesterday was unbeatable for Barwa Addax, today has basically been the opposite.
Leimer had its day, and little by little it has been escaping Dani, who lost the camber of the Swiss, tenth after tenth. Meanwhile, both Marcus Ericsson and Sam Bird came strongly from the rear, ready to fight as necessary to get that second position, or even a victory.
But Dani Clos was not prepared to drop a podium at home, and soon has distanced itself from his pursuers, doing everything possible to challenge the victory to a particularly successful Leimer. Rapax pilot stood out during the offseason, but so far not had any notable career. It is clear that today I wanted to change that.
Halfway through the race, Esteban Gutierrez and Michael Herck, returned to find it (or to "encontronarse", as you look), to despair of the Romanian. Yellow flags in the third sector, and the race continues. Meanwhile, Leimer is pulling force, and Dani Clos begins to lose seconds, while it had been able to stand close during the first half of the race.
A second position is an excellent result, but a victory would be even better. In the end, it was not possible, and Leimer completed a flawless race, with Clos finishing ten seconds, and Marcus Ericsson in third position. At least, the Catalan pilot can have a positive balance of the weekend, has managed to solve the problems of Turkey, who caused him so excessive wear of tyres.
The new leader of the Championship after the Spanish round is Giedo van der Garde, with 21 points, tied with Sam Bird. Behind the leading duo of GP2 we have Charles Pic with 15 points and Romain Grosjean with 13. Dani Clos, for its part, is sixth with nine points. Although it is far from the head of the Championship, even retrieve everything, provided it can improve and fight for the victory in the following races.
