Trevor Bayne victory at the Daytona 500 led me to think that never we have talked about in depth the feat of only the pilot on the win in his first participation in formula one so far: giancarlo baghetti, which got in 1961 at the controls of a rented, Ferrari in the circuit of Rheims.
If by then was often compete with Roadsters leased to manufacturers, in particular in this case to the Ferrari and nothing less than a shark nose as which illustrates the post (corresponds to Phil Hill Ferrari 1961 world champion). They were times where Formula 1 races were like who tells the story of an epic battle. And times that were had so many variables to take into account in the races, and they were so artisan, things like this could happen.

Part due to chance, thanks to the car, and thanks to luck and Baghetti hands made possible the miracle win a Grand Prix in his first participation. This is highly unlikely today only drivers like Jacques Villeneuve or Lewis Hamilton have been close to achieve this.
And in fact it is so rare that again this event occurs as rarely is that is for novice drivers in the category to obtain a winning car. This only happened recently, that I remember, with Villeneuve a Williams commands in its best moments, and was second in his career debut behind Damon Hill and because of a leak of oil, while he was leading, and Lewis Hamilton (idem with a McLaren wishing to win his first career podium).
It's worth watching the video which relates with images and a somewhat epic soundtrack how did Baghetti impossible. Retro moment of the day, let's go back to the Formula 1 of 1961, the historic Rheims.
