Father Karun Chandhok has admitted that his son hopes to be running in the opening race of House, the Grand Prize of India of formula one in October.
The Indian pilot Chandhok is in Jerez this week to test Lotus T128 and openly admits that it is near agreeing a contract with the Malaysia team to be your pilot in 2011.
"He still is talks", said Vicky Chandhok, father of Karun and President of the Federation of automobile clubs sports of the India.
"Not sure how quickly that will resolve this", he added.
Last year, Chandhok became the second Indian after Narain Karthikeyan be racing in F1. This year Karthikeyan returns to F1 in 2011 with Hispania Racing and seems Chandhok is set to be the second Indian on the grid in New Delhi in October.
"Obviously, he wants to sign with Lotus," confirmed Vicky Chandhok. But I don't want to go into the details.
"But until I know that he wants to have unaposibilidad in the India GP race," added.
